A beautiful and very elegant vintage double strand imitation pearl necklace, made up of exquisite very realistic, lustrous glass pearls, with a pretty daisy clasp, encrusted with diamantes and an imitation pearl to the centre. The ‘pearls’ have a remarkably realistic, high-quality appearance, so much so, that the necklace could easily be mistaken for a genuine pearl necklace. The pearls are uniform in size, and pretty much as white as you can get for vintage pearls. The clasp is stamped “Metall”, suggesting the necklace is likely to have been crafted in Austria.
The necklace is hand-knotted, denoting quality – this also makes it strong and hang nicely. The clasp is rhodium plated (a metal from the platinum family which prevents tarnishing) it can be worn to the side and shown off if desired. It closes with a reassuring click. The pearls are in Wonderful Condition, with no damage of any kind – in fact it looks as though it’s barely been worn!
