A fabulous vintage mid-century silver Eloxal and dark silver enamel scarf clip / dress clip. It has a lovely bold Modernist design, which is really striking. The clip is very strong and working well. This one isn’t stamped, but I have others which are – it would have been made in ‘Western Germany’.
Eloxal is a lightweight aluminium alloy produced in Germany and was used for making jewellery and other accessories during the war, when other metals were being used for the war effort. It was still being manufactured right up to the 1970’s. One of the great things about it is that it is lovely and shiny and doesn’t tarnish. Highly Collectable and Sought After now.
The scarf is not included.
