A fabulous vintage mid-century Majolica plate, hand-decorated with vibrant lemons and leaves in two shades of green. The plate is finished with a wonderful lustre glaze, which gives a lovely light rainbow effect (this can be seen better in the photos of the reverse side). I also have a matching Orange plate – please see other listings.
The only thing of note is there is a very small unglazed area on the rim, and another couple of pinpricks on the lemon and on a leaf. This is not damage, just tiny areas where the glaze has not taken (please see final two photographs). It doesn’t detract in any way from its immense charm.
Any white marks in the photos are just reflections.
Measures: 8.25″ or 21cm diameter
