A beautiful antique miniature bronze or brass butterfly brooch, hand decorated with golden orange and forest green enamel guilloche. The enamel is in wonderful condition for its considerable age, with no losses. The brooch has a dark aged patina, particularly on the reverse and there is some minor surface wear commensurate with age. It fastens with an early ‘C’ catch.
