A charming and very rare antique Victorian/Edwardian, hand-painted celluloid, Architectural Building Blackpool Tower brooch. The brooch has lovely hand-painted detail, right down to shadows and red roofs at the base of the tower. It has a long pin and simple C catch on the reverse. It is such an elegant and stylish piece, and could be worn by either a lady or a man.
The brooch is highly likely to be Blackpool Tower, although there are no markings on it to identify it as such – please see it next to the period photograph.
It is in wonderful condition, with no damage. I’ve never seen another like it during all my research, so I believe it is very rare indeed. Perfect for a Collector.
