A fabulous bespoke unworn vintage African print tea dress, in vibrant yellow and hot pink geometric pure cotton fabric. The dress has been completely hand-made – it is a totally unique one-of-a-kind piece. When I acquired it a few years ago, I was told that it had been made for an African Princess’s Wedding, but, for one reason or another, it was never worn. So this is a Unique opportunity to acquire this Stunning Bespoke dress.
It is such a fabulous 1950’s vintage style tea dress with a full skirt – it would look lovely with a swing dress petticoat underneath (see photo). It also has fantastic vibrant yellow flower trim detail around the neck. It fastens with a zip at the back.
This Stunning Dress Will Definitely Get You Noticed!
My mannequin is a size 10. The zip won’t close around the bust, but fits fine everywhere else. So I would say it’s a size 8, or a small 10. Having said that, the seams are all extra wide (see last photo) so it would be possible to have it ‘let out’ to make it a bit bigger wherever needed.
Length from shoulder to hem approximately: 36.5″ or 93cm
Measurements Laid Flat:
Underarm to underarm: 17″ = 34″ Bust, or 86.5cm
Waist 14.75″ = 29.5″ or 75cm
