A very striking vintage Art Deco to mid-century modernist carved malachite face mask pendant necklace. The malachite is lovely and glossy, with beautiful swirling markings, which are rather difficult to show on the photographs. It’s such a tactile piece, and heavy too. It could be worn on your own chain, or ribbon.
There is some minor age related surface wear, which is to be expected, and a tiny chip on the reverse, which doesn’t show from the front. These minor imperfections don’t in any way detract from its immense charm (please see penultimate photo).
Measures approximately: 2.5″ x 2″, or 65mm x 47mm
Weight is a substantial: 50g
