Vintage Antique Art Deco Petit Point Embroidered Evening Bag 1930s Black Silk Crepe de Chine Needlepoint Handbag Purse. Present Gift.
Circa 1930’s
A beautiful antique Art Deco black silk crepe de chine handbag. The bag is decorated with gorgeous petit point hand-embroidered roses, daisies and forget-me-nots, along with other flowers. It has a fabulous pale gold silk satin lining, with inner pocket and wonderful piping detail in black and gold. I am not sure if the little rings attaching the handle to the bag are original or not, but if not, this was done many years ago. The handle is long enough to be worn at the elbow and looks very elegant. The bag fastens with a press stud.
