A charming vintage Dr Barnardo’s hand-painted ceramic house, or cottage, money box. The house is hand decorated in vibrant colours with lovely detail, along with ‘Dr. Barnardo’s’ lettering painted in red, in what appears to be a child’s writing. It really is adorable – a fantastic nostalgic mid-century piece. The money box is in wonderful condition for its considerable age. There are no chips, only some light crazing commensurate with age. Also, the plastic stopper from the base is missing, but I am sure this could easily be replaced. There is nothing which detracts in any way from its immense charm. A Rare and highly sought after, collectable piece.
Perfect for a Collector, or anyone interested in retro decor and British Heritage.
