An unusual old vintage/antique hand-carved pendant necklace, made from Olive wood. There is some nicely detailed deep carving on the pendant and the wood has lovely tones and markings, with an attractive sheen. The beads are joined together with wire. There is no clasp, it just goes on over the head and is very easy to wear. It isn’t signed, but these types of carved pendants and brooches, either made of wood, or mother of pearl, are usually from the Holy Land. This is an earlier example.
The pendant measures approximately: 2.75″ or 7cm diameter
The necklace measures approximately: 28.5″ or 72.5cm
