Vintage ‘Make do & Mend’ 1940’s Wartime Jewellery Hand-Made Plastic Button Fruit Flower Earrings Rare Collector Museum
Wartime, early 1940’s
A very rare and charming pair of hand-made ‘Make Do And Mend’ celluloid earrings, in a lovely vivid green colour. The earrings have been made from plastic buttons, with wire coiled around them. I can’t vouch for how well they will stay in place when being worn, as they just push on, but they are very lightweight.
Each earring measures ¾” inc the ear wire
The diameter of each button measures: 14.11mm
