Such a FABULOUS and UNIQUE piece – You Won’t Find Another Like It!
A beautiful antique Bohemian Czech NEIGER BROTHERS Egyptian Revival, Uranium glass, long flapper necklace. The necklace is made up of fabulous uranium carnelian glass oval beads, uranium poured glass beads with stylised markings, and rock crystal glass rondelles. The necklace is hand-knotted, on the original string. The beads themselves are in Excellent Antique Condition, however, there are a couple of ancient repairs to the string. The necklace may benefit from re-threading but the string still seems strong. There is no clasp, the necklace just goes on over the head. Lovely and long, a very elegant length at 43″.
The beads fluoresce under UV light, due to the trace uranium content (which is totally harmless).
The necklace appears more orange in some of the photographs than it is in real life – it is carnelian colour.
