A beautiful and unusual Antique Arts & Crafts solid silver parallelogram shaped brooch, hand-crafted in Germany. The leaf design is just fabulous. The leaves have been cleverly cut at an angle, which makes the brooch shine when it catches the light (difficult to show in the photographs). Stamped on the reverse ‘Handarbeit 900’ for hand-made and the grade of silver, which is slightly below Sterling. The brooch fastens with a simple early ‘C’ catch. It has a nice aged patina, so I haven’t polished it. I am sure it would polish up beautifully, but I will leave it to the buyer to do as they wish.
