A beautiful and unusual Antique silver parallelogram shaped brooch, hand-made in Germany. The leaf design is very much in the style of the Arts & Crafts movement. The leaves have been cleverly cut at an angle, which makes the brooch shine when it catches the light (difficult to show in the photographs). Stamped on the reverse ‘Handarbeit 900’ for hand-made and the grade of silver, which is slightly below Sterling. The brooch fastens with a simple C catch. It has a nice aged patina, so I haven’t polished it.
