A Really Unique Piece ~ Perfect for ANY Special Occasion.
A beautiful antique Art Nouveau, Venetian Murano, black wedding cake, lampwork beads necklace. The black beads look quite dramatic, with pretty pink lampwork roses, white daisies and gold aventurine. The central bead is rose quartz in colour, with pretty pink roses, blue forget-me-nots and lashings of gold aventurine. The organic design of the two rolled gold links to either side of the central bead are typical of the Art Nouveau period. All of the beads were hand-made by Craftsmen on the island of Murano and as such, each of them varies slightly in shape and size.
There is some wear commensurate with age and use, with some lampwork losses to the smaller beads, but you really don’t notice this unless scrutinising, and overall the necklace is in very good condition for well over 100 years old. It looks lovely and sparkly when it catches the light. The rolled gold links are still lovely and shiny even now. It fastens with a shepherd’s hook clasp.
Everything is ALL ORIGINAL.
