A breathtaking vintage Art Deco open back set diamond paste fringe choker necklace. The necklace has fabulous large teardrop and emerald cut stones which are gold foiled and in open back settings – this shows that it is an earlier piece. Very often with these open back stones, the foil gets scratched or damaged and the stones spoil – but these are in fantastic condition, and all original too. The other stones are round and in closed back settings, they go all the way round to the clasp. All the stones are present and sparkling. The necklace is rhodium plated, which is a metal of the platinum family, used on high end costume jewellery to prevent tarnishing. It fastens with a bolt ring clasp, which is working well.
